How will good days come for Babar? We will have to pay attention to Virat’s bad times, former cricketer gave Gurumantra

New Delhi. Pakistan’s legendary player Babar Azam is renowned in the world for his batting. There would be no hesitation in saying that this player has given a different direction to Pakistan cricket. But 2023 proved to be a nightmare for Babar. Babar Azam had to face a crushing defeat in the first Asia Cup as captain. Then his shameful performance in the World Cup forced him to step down from the captaincy. Not only this, now Babar’s form has become a problem for him. Regarding which the former Pakistani cricketer has worked to show them the path.

These days the Pakistani team has come out to compete with Australia under the captaincy of Shan Masood. The Kangaroo team has maintained its winning streak for years and has captured the series 2-0. Babar’s bat has been seen silent in this series. He has scored only 77 runs in 4 innings. At the same time, in the World Cup too, only 3 half-century innings were seen from Babar’s bat. Due to which his form has become a question mark in Pakistan team. Former Pakistan star spinner Mushtaq Ahmed expressed his views on this issue and advised Babar Azam to rest.

He is our hero- Mushtaq Ahmed

Mushtaq told Cricket Pakistan, ‘Babar has done at a high level so far and he is our hero. He is considered one of the top players in the world. However, he had to face difficulties like losing the Asia Cup, World Cup and later losing the captaincy. Often in our culture we fail to realize the need for breaks. If I had been there, I would have suggested giving some rest to Babar.

He further said, ‘Leave three Test matches and concentrate on the upcoming series. If nothing happens in the next Test match or ODI match, then such a big player will suddenly give up and go down. Many times we sacrifice big achievements for small successes. Babar needed mental rest because he was tired. Virat Kohli was not in form, so he took a break and since then he has not had to face that many struggles.
