After Nepali Congress, Prime Minister Prachanda decided to form an alliance with Oli’s party.

Kathmandu. Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Monday ended his nearly 15-month partnership with Nepali Congress due to differences and former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma decided to form a new alliance with Oli’s party.

A leader of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) said that the alliance between Prachanda-led CPN (Maoist Centre) and Sher Bahadur Deuba-led Nepali Congress has ended as differences between the two top leaders have deepened. .

CPN (Maoist Centre) Secretary Ganesh Shah told PTI, “Nepali Congress did not cooperate with the Prime Minister, so we are forced to look for a new alliance.”

Prachanda became Prime Minister on December 25, 2022 with the support of Nepali Congress. After breaking the alliance with Nepali Congress, the largest party in the House of Representatives, Prachanda decided to join hands with Oli-led Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist). However, Oli is considered a critic of Prachanda.

Last year, CPN-UML had withdrawn its support to the Prachanda-led government following differences over supporting the main opposition party’s candidate for the presidential election. CPN-UML vice president Surendra Pandey said that the new cabinet will be formed on Monday afternoon and the size of the cabinet will be small.

That’s why there were disputes between Nepali Congress and CPN-MC

The rift between the two parties increased after differences between Nepali Congress leader and Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat and Prachanda on the issue of budget allocation for some projects increased. CPN-UML president Oli met Prachanda at the Prime Minister’s residence on Monday and discussed matters related to forming a new alliance.
